This new 6 week cycle is going to light you up in the best of ways (we promise). Our primary focus is going to be on preparing you for the CrossFit Open. So, what can you expect? You’ll be seeing 1-2 past open workouts each week, our own variation of an open workout that will feature more volume and high reps. Our skill work is going to be focused on higher rep counts (think, 10-20) and really dialing in on cycling those reps (shoulder 2 overhead, touch and go DB snatches, stringing together toes 2 bar and other gymnastic movements). We’re going to have a good time, for sure.
Our skill test-in will be: 20 rep MAX Thruster
Our metcon test-in will be:
50 Double Unders
40 Box Jumps
20 Power Cleans
10 Muscle Ups
–>Nutrition Challenge: your benchmark workouts to start the challenge are BurgFIT from today (1/2) and the CrossFit skill and WOD from today (1/2). So, if you weren’t able to make it in today to hit either one of those…make it a priority at some point this week.
